Space 1999 Eagle Transporter 1:48 Scale Pre Built

 

MPC is proud to release an assembled large format display model of the Eagle Transporter from the Gerry Anderson production Space:1999! Based on the heralded model kit, it has been exhaustively researched for accuracy to reflect the 44” filming miniature. It features spring-loaded landing foot pads and pilot figures can be revealed by removing the command module. The model’s decoration reflects the look of the model in the latter half of the first season of the show.

  1. Moonbase Alpha here... The Eagle has landed!

    At 22” it’s a nice big Eagle but still smaller than the Mattel “toy.” This pre-built kit is amazing and perfect for fans who simply don’t have the time to build their own and want a professional looking model. The paint apps, detailing are spot on. You can upgrade the engine thrusters with the machined aluminum parts sold seperately which might help give it some more heft as it is very lightweight but not necessary. I did have a difficult time trying to snap on the cockpit nose cone and was afraid it was going to break so read the instructions carefully. You’ll have to remove the nosecone and engines if you need to put it back in the box for storage. At only 500 pieces this is sure to be highly collectible in years to come so you don’t want to miss getting one!

    This is a remarkable model. It’s extremely detailed and the construction is very sturdy. I’m very pleased with the Eagle. I have already added lights to the cockpit, which was very easy to do and the end result is fantastic. I would recommend this model to any fan of Space: 1999. I usually get large scale models and the Eagle doesn’t disappoint. It is great that it comes essentially fully assembled out of the box other than attaching the engine bells, which was easy. Very well done.

    This 22 inch Eagle is beautiful. The details are stunning. The quality is outstanding. I’m very glad I made this investment.

  4. Excellent model for Space:1999 fans

    Although I already had a 22" garage build Eagle that I bought many years ago, when I saw the level of detail on this model I knew I just had to have it and I can say I was not disappointed. This is an excellent model, and looks great on my bookshelf. I will note that the nose cone was a little difficult getting on and will require some care. I know some enterprising folks will take advantage of this feature and add an LED to light up the cockpit which actually I wish they would have included for guys like me who don't have that kind of skill. Anyway, this is a super model and won't disappoint.
