    As a fan of Space:1999 I own a fair number of Eagles from the model kit (meh) to the Dinkies (which I love despite the flaws) to the Product Enterprise Freighter to the Sixteen12 glider model, to the tiny Konamis.

    The Konami is closest in scale to this and collectors consider those to be treasures.

    But accuracy? Not good. Not good at all.

    These new mini Eagles are spectacular!

    Better than we should ever have hoped for but here they are.

    I got the lab eagle with booster, and the freighter with winch and canisters!

    The detail at scale is stunning. Metal engine bells, workable pod connection, even a teensy buggy.

    Wonderful!!!

    Now I think I may need all of them!

    Having been a life-long fan of Space 1999 I have picked up more than my share of Eagle Spaceships over the years. My initial thought was this would just be one more iteration and that would be it, albeit of a version that doesn't usually get produced. However I was blown away by the care and detail that went into it. Rivert-counters will complain about the thickness of the superstrcture truss piping, or the landing gear, but reality has to enter into this, and what was delivered was a highly faithful, market-friendly priced diecast ship that more than faithfully captures the look and feel of the original filming models. With a removable passenger pod (the recent Eaglemoss version did NOT have that at a much larger scale and for similar money) and removable booster pack as well as actual aluminum engine bells, this is a gorgeous mix between playable toy and presentation quality miniature. I definitely do not regret this purchase.

    This is a fantastic piece. If yo're a fan of the larger Eagles, you will really like this It may be small but the detail is near perfect. I personally think the Laboratory Eagle is the best of the 4 types, because it actually represents 2 different Eagles. You can have the straight Lab Eagle seen in many episodes of Space: 1999, or 'The Metamorph' full Booster version. This is well thought out and great for fans. And, of course, in this size it can be taken anywhere.
