Iconic Spaceship: The U.S.S. Enterprise from STAR TREK: THE ORIGINAL SERIES, may be the most recognizable spacecraft in science fiction and this snap-assembly model kit makes an impressive display for any desk or shelf.

Large format: At 32” long, this model is big and impressive. It is based on extensive research of the original filming miniature for authenticity. Each model has been hand assembled, finished and decorated.

Unbox and display: The model is fit to be built right out of the box or display it unopened in a stunning 5-panel window box that features the ship and the entire Enterprise crew. The ship comes with a sturdy display base with metal support tube.

QUICK SPECS: 1:350 scale. 7 parts. Fully decorated. No glue required.

    I've been a great admirer of all the wonderful Enterprise build ups I've seen over the years. When Polar Lights produced this limited-run display model version of their model kit, they gave us fans who weren't experienced model builders a chance to own an exceptionally beautiful Enterprise model of our own. Although their have been concerns about the use of decals, or the lack of lighting, there is simply NO WAY you are going to get an Enterprise model as 'Smithsonian-accurate' as this for anywhere near this price (unless you yourself are one of those super talented model builders).
    And the sun is setting on the availability of this product! I was so very fortunate to discover that Fabgearusa was still well stocked with them!! Get one before they all go away...

    This model is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. Ever since I was a kid in the 60s I've wanted a really nice model of the Enterprise. Buy Buy Buy you won't be sorry.

    The ship arrived yesterday and I was initially excited. There are seven pieces in the box and the ship assembled easily and snaps together tightly except for the deflector dish. Here are the issues I noted:
    1. There was some type of overspray on the paint on the bottom side of the saucer section. I wiped it away with a damp cloth however, whatever it was left permanent marks on the paint in several places.
    2. The deflector dish does not snap into place like the other pieces. This seems to be a design flaw. It loosely sits on the front of the ship and will move with the slightest vibration.
    3. The stand for the ship is made of lightweight, cheap plastic compared to the rest of the ship. I was surprised it could support the weight of the ship.
    4. Online I was reading about the “display box” included with the ship. This is nothing more than the cardboard box the ship was packaged in. It is a high-quality cardboard box containing pictures of the TOS crew but, it is just a cardboard box.
    5. I do not think you will be able to disassemble the ship without breaking it due to how tightly it fits together.
    Having said that, this is a cool ship and it displays well however, at this price point I expected better quality.

    I absolutely love this. I've seen the old iconic photo of Kirk or Spock holding the large Enterprise model and now I have one. Plus fabgearusa has EXCELLENT customer service. Buy now. You won't be sorry.
