It appeared in all 79 episodes of the original series and inspired the design of every Starfleet ship that followed it. The ship was designed by Matt Jefferies, who remembered that Gene Roddenberry asked him to keep away from anything that looked like a rocket ship or a flying saucer. This is Eaglemoss’s regular-sized model which is slightly over 5″ (13 cm) = 5.11 inches long.
