Strange New World (1975) Intro 03:44

This was the third attempt at getting the Genesis II/Planet Earth series originally developed by Gene Roddenberry up and running, but this time without the Great Bird of the Galaxy's involvement. The concept and characters were changed to get over any legal problems but once again the pilot failed. It may have been too cerebral for the time but it's very well executed. Th FX at the start may have involved the participation of John (Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars) Dykstra.

  1. JOHN SAXON RULES

Posted by Unknown on 18th Jan 2018

Those I remembered the movie, the plots were forgotten. This movie, which was the third attempt by Gene Roddenberry to sell his Genesis II/Planet Earth series, never saw the light of day. Nor was Roddenberry's name associated with this attempt. Story one had the trio captured by evil clones and their attempt to escape. Who would pass up having to look at John Saxon in a toga. The second story was more interesting, when the female of the trio was accused of being a poacher by a tribe who lived and co-existed with animals at a long abandoned zoo. So, one out of two isn't bad. You'll enjoy just the same.
