F.A.B., Drop Pod 1 now!
Takara of Japan is releasing a whole slew of new Remote Controlled Thunderbirds toys in a constant 1/144 scale this year.
The first set of vehicles includes: the Excavator, Elevator Car, FAB-1, Monobrake, and tiny figures of Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward and Aloysius Parker. These vehicles are not remote-controlled out of the box; You must purchase the Recovery Vehicle set. You can remove the base from the Recovery Vehicle and place it on either the Excavator or Elevator car with the remote-control base, and then use the controller (also included in the Recovery Vehicle set), to control the Excavator or Elevator car. The other vehicles are not remote controlled. Comes in a package styled after one of Thunderbird 2's removable pods! A very neat idea! More sets will appear in the coming months, collect them all!
Note: You must have the controller from the 1/144 RC Recovery Vehicle set or RC Mole in order to make the Excavator or Elevator cars remote controlled. It is available by clicking on the link to the right.
